The Uitmarkt marks the opening of the Dutch cultural season. The Uitmarkt Amsterdam is the largest cultural festival in The Netherlands.
It’s actually the largest cultural festival in the Netherlands, and it’s completely FREE! Uitmarkt stats speak of over 500,000 visitors and 30 venues featuring over 2000 performers.
Uitmarkt 2013
The main venues for 2013 are Museumplein and Leidseplein, Amsterdam’s hugest squares. In addition, many smaller venues like museums and theaters will host performances as well. Several information stands will be set up in the Museumplein area, along with a book market.

The kid will love Uitmarkt this year! Check De Krakeling Youth Theater and Uitmarkt Junior for child-friendly entertainment, workshops and interactive activities.
