Halloween 2014: Amsterdam Mamas Spooky Buggy Parade

Are you a fan of Halloween, and would love to dress your little one up for this fun holiday? Join Amsterdam Mamas 4th annual Spooky Buggy Parade at the Vondelpark in Amsterdam!

Babies, buggies and bizarre bats can only mean one thing; it’s THAT time of the year for dressing up, walking around and having tons of fun at the annual Amsterdam Mamas Spooky Buggy Parade!

For the fourth year in a row Amsterdam Mamas will host one of its most popular events and we are going all out this time around. With an even larger community and in collaboration with Sweettasty, the Spooky Buggy Parade will be better than ever!

The event is fun and casual. This year there will be two meeting points at opposite ends of Vondelpark and each group will walk towards the playground at ‘t Groot Melkhuis, where we will all join up to visit with old friends and meet new ones. Once we are all together, the children will be given a sweet surprise, donated by Sweettasty, to make the Halloween experience complete. (If you don’t want your children to receive the goody-bag, you can opt out.)

Event Details:
When: Sunday, October 26, 2014
Time: Assembly begins at 9:45, the parade will start at 10.00
Where: There will be two meeting points in Vondelpark. At Vondelpark North Gate (Leidseplein entrance) directly to the right by the trees, and at Vondelpark South Gate (Amstelveenseweg) by the playground, you will be greeted and photographed by our volunteers. After the parade, we will all meet at ‘t Groot Melkhuis.
Cost: The event is free. However, please consider bringing a €3 donation per family to help Amsterdam-Mamas continue organizing these community events. Our volunteers will be happy to receive your donation.
 

You are welcome to dress your children (and yourselves) in costumes and even decorate their strollers, steps, bikes and more. We can’t wait to meet the trolls, firemen, princesses, superheros and all the other costumes that join us!

We suggest bringing some snacks and drinks, to enjoy along with the treats. The ‘t Groot Melkhuis will also be open that morning, they do not take reservations on Sundays, so it is up to you to enjoy the playground and a cup of coffee/tea.

This event will be cancelled in case of bad weather. The cancellation will be announced on our Facebook page by 7:30AM on the day of the event.
