There are many types of yoga to choose from. For the more experienced yoga practioner, or more active person, there are more intense methods like Kundalini, BIkram and Jivamukti (Ashtanga). But if you're a beginner maybe you're looking for something a little more low impact like Hatha, Laughing or Vinyasa. There are many various yoga techniques for you to try out.
